How to upgrade bag space

Upgrading your bag space in ESO costs gold and withbag merchant icon each tier bought the price increases drastically.

To upgrade your bag space you must
first find the merchant, each starting town has a merchant just look for this icon on the right.

Everyone starts off with 60 inventory slots for their bag and the maximum is 110. Below is a table with the prices for upgrades.

Helpful tips before you start:

Glenumbra: Level 1  – 16

Start by grinding at zone one until you reach level 10

Move to zone two until level 16

Grind at zone one until level 20. Then head east and grind at zone two until you are level 25.

We found two spots that are amazing. I personally like Cliffs of Failure (zone two) the most as it’s a bit more hidden and not as heavily farmed.

Zone one is enter-able by the black forge entrance and the mobs you farm are in the first room.
Zone two is enter-able through a portal once inside the cliffs of failure take the second bridge leading up on the right.

 

15/04/2014 Patch Notes

Zenimax will be rolling out a new patch today to likely fix most of the quest progression bugs and long loading screens.  Here is the official patch notes.

We’ll be pushing a new patch during our regularly scheduled maintenance time tomorrow. The full patch notes will be available during the maintenance period, but we wanted to share the highlights with you now since they were a direct result of your feedback:

We have fixed issues with several quests that were blocking main quest progression. 
Those include Crossing the Chasm, Castle of the Worm, and The Army of Meridia.
  • We have fixed the issue with Liberation of Northpoint. The quest is now completable.
  • We have fixed several issues with Banished Cells that were making it uncompletable.
  • We have made many other quest fixes.
  • We have implemented many new things to thwart gold farmers, spammers, and botters.

In-Progress Updates In addition to the fixes going live tomorrow, we want to give you a status update on some of the other hot issues we’re working on.

Missing Bank Slots, Stored Bank Items, and Skill Points – We’re continuing to investigate the issue, and are working on a fix now. As soon as the fix is ready, we will push it out to the live megaservers. Please note: This may result in a second maintenance this week and when we do push the fix, it will not be retroactive. Know that we want to make this right for all impacted—we’re still exploring options to help those who have stored items/gold, and bank slots go missing.

Long Loading Times/Social Lag – Some people have been experiencing long loading times, guild chat lag, and other social systems lag, especially during peak times. We are aware of this and are actively investigating it. As soon as we have a fix, we will push it live.

Dungeon Treasure Chests – Based on feedback, we are changing treasure chests in instanced dungeons so that everyone gets a piece of loot regardless of who opens the chest. This change is currently being implemented and tested internally and will be released in a future patch as soon as it’s ready. Watch the patch notes for the news.

Public Dungeon & Delve Boss Monsters – Also based on feedback, we will be placing a timer on how often you can get loot from public dungeon and delve boss monsters. This timer is shared across all boss monsters in public dungeons and delves. This will not impact loot timers for quest-specific monsters or overworld group bosses. Watch the patch notes for news on when this change will go live.

Stonefalls: Level 1  – 16

THE FIRST ONE

Complete the quest from Holgunn at zone one.

Go to the dungeon at zone two. There is also a skyshard located here.

Take the quest at zone three. Complete it and the dungeon. This should give you enough exp to get to level 6, or at least close to it.

Grind at zone four until you reach level 16.

Deshaan: Level 16-23

25-34

Grind at zone one until level 23.

Zone two is an alternate option if it’s too crowded. You can also stay here until level 28 but only as a back-up if the next area is also too crowded.

Shadowfen: Level 23-34

Grind at zone one until level 32 all though you can leave at level 28 if you get bored and move to zone 2. You can grind here until 34. It is highly recommended to move to this zone at level 28 because it gives the best exp, however it may be a little crowded.

The Rift: Level 34-47

Once you’ve hit level 36 move to zone two, if there are too many people you can tag the mobs as there is a high respawn rate.

Cold harbor: Level 47 – 50

How to become a Vampire

Becoming a Vampire

If you wish to become a werewolf or vampire in elder scrolls online you must get infected, below are the only ways to do this.

  • Find rare bloodfiends in Reaper’s March, The Rift, or Bangkorai. To become a vampire you need to get a condition called Vampirism, which you get if you are bitten by rare bloodfiends that spawn only at certain spots, in certain zones and at a certain time. They only spawn at night during the new moon phase. If they are killed they won’t spawn until another night.  Once you become infected go to the nearest wayshrine where you’ll be able to start the quest Scion of the Blood Matron. Once you have completed this quest, you will unlock the Vampire skill line.
  • You can also get infected by another player, who is already a vampire, and has leveled the skill line enough to gain the passive “Blood Ritual”.

The suitable level for the quest line is 38, although there are reports of people finishing the quest at 20.

Vampire spawn locations

Werewolves and Vampires share the same spawn areas and depending on the moon phase, one or the other will spawn. This phase seems to last 1.5 real days, and the phase repeats every 8 days.

Advantages of becoming a vampire are:

  • There is no transformation involved when it comes to vampirism. This means you benefit the perks of being a vampire all the time.
  • Vampires have amazing Active and Passive Skills which become even stronger at night, putting them on huge advantage against other creatures.
  • When it comes to werewolves vs. vampires, the poisonous attacks, on the Vampire skill line, put them on a huge advantage.
  • You have a lot of role-playing opportunities.

Disadvantages of becoming a vampire are:

  • Although vampires are strong at night, when sun comes back up, strength of abilities decrease.
  • Vampires take 50% more damage from fire attacks. This means the Fighter’s Guild can easily take them out.
  • Vampires need to feed on enemies or other players every 30 minutes in order to stay strong and in stage 1. Failure to do so will result in a decrease of health regeneration. On the other hand, vampire abilities cost less to cast. To feed and decrease your timer, sneak up behind an enemy or player and wait for the prompt.

Stage 1: (30 minute timer) no additional effects

Stage 2: (60 minute timer) -25% health regeneration and -20% cost on all vampire skills

Stage 3: (90 minute timer) -50% health regeneration and -40% cost on all vampire skills

Stage 4: (no timer) -75% health regeneration and -60% cost on all vampire skills

Cure

To completely cure vampirism, you need to visit the same NPC that you went to for the Scion of the Blood Matron quest. He will tell you to visit a priest of Arkay in a nearby town, who can remove the condition for a small fee. If you ever decide to become a vampire again you will continue from whatever level you reached in the skill line before you were cured.

How to become a Werewolf

If you wish to become a werewolf or vampire in elder scrolls online you must get infected, below are the only ways to do this.

  • Find rare monsters in Reaper’s March, The Rift, or Bangkorai. To become a werewolf you need to get Sanies Lupinus disease, which you get if you are hit by rare werewolves that spawn only at certain spots, in certain zones and at a certain time. They only spawn at night, during the full moon. Once you become infected go to the nearest wayshrine where you’ll be able to start the quest Hircine’s Gift. Once you have completed this quest, you will unlock the Werewolf skill line.
  • You can also get infected by another player, who is already a werewolf, and has leveled the skill line enough to gain the passive “Bloodmoon”.

The suitable level for the quest line is 38, although there are reports of people finishing the quest at 20.

  • The increase in stamina, armor, speed and attack damage are the main benefits of being a werewolf.  These make it a great choice for any physical character.
  • Transformation into a werewolf itself
  • Werewolf’s get a very nice gap closer skill
  • You have a lot of role-playing opportunities

Disadvantages of becoming a werewolf are:

  • Werewolves must transform to use special skills. Transforming into a werewolf requires your Ultimate slot and a lot of stamina
  • Werewolf’s biggest threat comes from members of the Fighters Guild, as you can talent to do extra damage against them.
  • As a werewolf you have a weakness to poison damage – 50% more poison damage is taken, this means all those pesky archers in PvP will do even more damage to you with poison arrows.
  • You get no bonuses while you’re outside of werewolf form.
  • Being a werewolf really has no benefit for magicka based characters.

Cure

If you ever decide that being a werewolf isn’t for you, you can cure it by  visiting the NPC you went to for the Hircine’s Gift quest. She will tell you to visit a NPC in a nearby town to remove the disease for a small fee. If you become a werewolf again you will continue from whatever level you reached in the werewolf skill line before you got cured.
